Win 9&8

The quintessential garden of England, Kent welcomed the foursome with open arms, big bunkers and monies worth golf. These two magnificent courses have hosted celebrities, pros and prime ministers. Now Partnersforelife.

A battle across the two days was more of the classic times between friends playing foursomes on day one and back to four ball match play on the second. It was another win for RR that came quicker than first thought.

The fast rolling fairways and superb greens have stood the test of time and provide a stiff challenge to lovers of links golf. In a prevailing wind, the last seven holes at Deal are reputed to be amongst the toughest in golf.

It was completed late in 1906 as an 18-hole course, and was the first course designed to counter the significantly longer Haskell ball. Club captain A.J. Balfour, a former British Prime Minister, drove the first ball in the Founder's Vase in June 1907. It hosted the 1932 Open Championship.
